New Additive Manufacturing Software from CoreTechnologie

New Additive Manufacturing Software from CoreTechnologie

With 4D_Additive CAD models of all common formats can be processed directly as intelligent B-Rep geometry through robust "modeling functions", which has clear advantages over the previous use of tessellated STL models. The forward-looking Voxel technology defines local part charecteristics such as conductivity, color or strength.

CoreTechnologie will be presenting its new 3D_Additive Manufacturing Software called 4D_Additive for the first time at Formnext 2017 in Frankfurt. With the new tool, CAD data of all popular formats can be processed and analyzed with special  profiles with regard to the various rapid manufacturing processes.
Data preparation with solids
Support structures for manufacturing as well as latice geometry for lightweight construction and material savings can be produced especially for metal printing processes. The CAD models are handeled as intelligent B-Rep geometry and can be optimized  through robust "direct modeling" functions, which has clear advantages over trying to work  tessellated models. The system's modern and easy to use  graphical user interface allows for easy generation of offset surfaces, defeaturing and modifying critical minifaces by  merging to efficiently reduce complexity.
Optimal utilization of the installation space
Roughness can be displayed through freely selectable slicing parameters and the components can be automatically positioned by the system so that selected areas have the best possible surface. The database contains the common machine types with their installation space, and intelligent nesting functions ensure fast, easy filling and optimum utilization of the installation space.
Flexibility and data quality
3D_Additive has mature interfaces for CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, Creo, JT, STEP, etc. The system's healing functions ensure optimum data quality of the converted and 3D printing optimized models which can be saved in the amf, 3mf and stl formats , This ensures that the qualitatively optimal, "waterproof" mesh models are sent to the printer.
